I'm an award-winning multimedia journalist based between Washington, D.C. and Istanbul. My reporting focuses on historical memory, authoritarianism and politics, largely in Eastern Europe but not only. I have extensive experience working as a multimedia editor producing documentary films and series, leading interactive digital reporting projects, commissioning photography and editorial illustration work and directing animated video docs. My work as a reporter, producer and video editor has appeared in TIME Magazine, the Atlantic, the Guardian, Coda Story, NBC, Vice News, New Lines Magazine among others.

What I love most in my work is joining my passion for visual storytelling with on-the-ground reporting. As an editor and producer, I’m most energized when working with a team and collaborating with a wide range of professionals including other reporters and producers, photographers, editors, videographers, UX designers, developers, illustrators and more.

I also provide video/multimedia production consultancy, focusing on working with small newsroom teams to build up their production pipeline and find ways to innovate in their storytelling.

I’ve reported on the ground across Eastern Europe and was previously based in Tbilisi, Georgia and Prague, Czech Republic.

A selection of my reporting is featured below. My work as a producer is here.
